5 Reasons You Should Be Waking Up Early

So you’re thinking about waking up early but having some difficulty forming that habit. I understand. Changing an everyday habit can be extremely difficult. Way more difficult than people initially realize. We’re all creatures of habit. Sometimes we aren’t even aware of the habit but we do it nonetheless.

According to Healthline, it can take up to “254 days for a person to form a new habit and an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic”. With that much time and effort required, no wonder most people find it extremely difficult to form new habits and change everyday behaviors.

However, if you are thinking about changing your sleeping habits and attempting to wake up early, I applaud your efforts. If you are having difficulty forming the new habit, below are some reasons to motivate you into adopting these new changes in your life.

1. Meditate and Delve into the Depths of Your Day

Embrace the opportunity to pause, quiet your mind, and immerse yourself in the richness of your day. Take a moment to contemplate the experiences, emotions, and interactions that have woven through the fabric of your day. Allow the tranquility of meditation to guide you as you reflect on the journey that has unfolded, infusing each moment with purpose and significance. This is your time to honor the depth and complexity of your experiences, as you embrace the power of mindfulness and self-discovery.

Depending on your career and family life, everyone’s day looks different but we all have one thing that’s common. We all need some time to breathe and enjoy our day before the everyday chaos of the world gets to us. Waking up early and having an hour just to yourself is a blessing like no other. Being able to sit on the couch with some warm coffee in your hand and just “be” is the best feeling in the world. This is one of the main reasons I love to wake up early. I like to take this small amount of time just for myself before my day starts to get busy with goals and obligations.

2. Exercise

Get ready to ignite your inner fire and unleash the power within you!

For me, exercising is one of those difficult and time-consuming things that I usually don’t want to do. If I do exercise, it’s always done begrudgingly. However, if you do have to exercise because you’re on a self-improvement journey (Way to go!) then exercising in the morning is your best bet. It’s something that you want to finish before you start losing your motivation for the day.

3. Create Content

Content creation is an exhilarating journey that allows you to unleash your creativity and share your unique perspective with the world. Embrace the canvas of digital space and infuse it with your passion, expertise, and authenticity. Each piece of content crafted with dedication has the power to captivate, inspire, and ignite meaningful connections. Let your imagination soar as you embark on this empowering endeavor of content creation.

One of the best reasons to wake up early is to devote some of your time to creating content that brings you happiness and fulfillment. Most of us are artists in our own ways. However, life gets in the way and you have responsibilities. Hence, you go to work to pay bills. But waking up early and creating content that allows you to explore your artistic abilities is heaven. You get to explore your passions and devote a certain amount of time to improving yourself.

4. Regular schedule

Maintaining a consistent routine is the heartbeat of success!

Nothing regulates your schedule like waking up early. If you have a regular schedule for waking up, you are much more likely to follow a schedule for the rest of the day because you aren’t playing catch-up all day long. Creating and following a  regular schedule can be difficult but it almost always starts with waking up early. If you start your day early, you’ve already accomplished one task you wanted to complete for the day. The rest will follow.

5. Spending Quality Time with Your Beloved Ones

There’s nothing quite like basking in the warmth of being with those who hold a special place in your heart. Taking the time to connect with your loved ones, sharing laughter, and creating cherished memories is a treasure beyond compare. Embrace these moments wholeheartedly, for they are the essence of true joy and fulfillment.

The specific relevant content for this request, if necessary, delimited with characters: Getting to spend time with your loved ones is a luxury not many can afford. Many families and loved ones have different work and/or school schedules that conflict with spending time together. If you have the opportunity to spend time with each other during the morning, take advantage of it. Spending time together in the morning allows you to communicate with others before life and work get in the way. Take the opportunity to build memories with your loved ones.

Helpful tip: If you’re used to waking up at a later time, start waking up one hour earlier each week. For example, if you’re used to waking up at 10 am, start by waking up at 9 am the first week and 8 am the following week and so on. Soon, you’ll start waking up at the desired time.

There are multiple reasons to get up in the morning and start your day early. If you wake up at a certain time long enough, your body will start getting used to it. This will then regulate your sleep schedule automatically. You’ll start to get tired earlier at night and automatically wake up earlier in the morning. At some point, you might not need an alarm to wake up.

What are some of the reasons you want to wake up early? Do you have any tips ?
